The authorities of the Netherlands said they could not ban a ship with Russian oil from entering the port

This is reported by the Netherlands Broadcasting Corporation with reference to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Wopke Hoekstra.

She explained that since the ship does not fly the flag of Russia, it does not fall under the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the European Union.

In this regard, there are no legal grounds for prohibiting the entry of a vessel into a Dutch port.

Earlier, Norwegian Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeld said that the country's authorities are closing the border with Russia for cargo, as well as ports, with an exception for trawlers.
