Peskov recalled that on April 28, a telephone conversation took place between the Presidents of Russia and Indonesia, Vladimir Putin and Joko Widodo.

According to him, Putin wished Indonesia success in the G20 presidency.

The Kremlin added that it is still premature to talk about some "other modalities of participation" of Russia.

Peskov answered a clarifying question whether a decision had been made whether Putin would visit Indonesia at the G20 or take part in the summit via video link.

According to him, "there are no such solutions."

“The President really thanked Mr. Widodo for the kind invitation to take part in the summit, and Russia will prepare for this summit and will do everything possible to ensure that the Indonesian chairmanship is successful,” he said.

Earlier, Putin and the President of Indonesia discussed the interaction between Moscow and Jakarta.
