“This, of course, is a very dangerous precedent, which is a flagrant distortion of any legal norms, a violation of all legal concepts in general.

This is nothing more than just an expropriation of private property and an attempt to pseudo legalize this expropriation,” Peskov said.

He noted that the adopted law causes the deepest misunderstanding and rejection of the Russian side.

On April 28, the US House of Representatives passed a law that allows seized assets of foreigners to be used to support Ukraine.

The bill provides for the possibility of confiscation of assets of foreigners if the funds were received through the support of the Russian leadership.

As noted in the Russian Foreign Ministry, measures of such an "idiotic nature" will be developed and continued, and Moscow "leaves nothing unanswered."
