Mälardalstrafik, which is owned by the regions of Stockholm, Östergötland, Sörmland, Uppsala, Örebro and Västmanland counties, believes that there are shortcomings both in terms of canceled and delayed departures, as well as in cleaning and washing of trains.

MTR, which runs the trains on behalf of Mälardalstrafik, has mainly pressed two reasons why things have not gone as planned.

Lack of trained personnel and diseases during the pandemic.

But the problems still persist.

This is despite the fact that MTR introduced a package of measures in March.

Therefore, Mälardalstrafik now requires an immediate change.

Frida Ukmar is the CEO of MTR Mälartåg and according to her, they work hard to rectify the shortcomings and to build trust with passengers again.
