Egyptian media reported that a journalist working for Al-Ahram newspaper, Imad El-Feki, committed suicide in his office in the newspaper building in central Cairo, yesterday, Thursday, in mysterious circumstances.

According to the Egyptian media, the Public Prosecution has launched investigations.

The preliminary results of the investigations showed that Al-Fiqi committed suicide by hanging.

According to what was published by local newspapers and websites, the security services in the Egyptian capital Cairo received a report stating that a journalist had committed suicide in the Al-Ahram newspaper building, and moved to the place where they found a decapitated body at the bottom of the Al-Ahram building, with the head hanging from a rope on the fifth floor.

The body was taken to the mortuary, and a team of criminal investigation men listened to the statements of the family of the deceased, as well as his colleagues and eyewitnesses, to determine the circumstances of the incident.
