She is one of the approximately 30 people who have now started a strike in Karlstad.

According to Anna Wallander, who is also the workplace representative for Kommunal, the strike will be visible to the cemetery's visitors after a while as work with flower beds, graves and rubbish stops.

The strike broke out after the parties did not agree on a conversion agreement for Kommunal's members.

The Church of Sweden's employers 'organization yesterday said no to the mediators' final offer.

Exemption for funeral

The Church of Sweden can apply for an exemption to carry out burials, burials and cremations, but that the green areas are not cared for now risks being noticed at Rud but also at Alster's cemetery and the Mosaic cemetery, which were also cared for by staff from Rud, explains cemetery director Elna Forsberg:

- Soon the grass will start, the flowers will be watered and planted so it will of course be affected, says cemetery manager Elna Forsberg.

In addition to Rud's cemetery in Karlstad, according to Kommunal, Filipstad parish, Arvika pastorate and Säffle pastorate are affected by the strike and the professional roles that are affected include church caretakers, janitors and crematorium workers.
