Exactly the day when SVT is visiting, it is quite calm with class 5A at Trandaredsskolan in Borås.

But the class has had problems with clutter in the lessons - and the days usually start quite quietly, says student Wille.

- Then you go up in laps, he says, and gets support from classmate Delnia:

- When it's near the end, you get a little playful and tired, so you start talking a little.

Many people experience chaos

The fifth graders at Traneredsskolan are not alone in experiencing chaos in the lessons.

According to a Novus survey commissioned by SVT's Lilla Aktuellt and UR, 32 percent of the children answer that they think the lessons are messy.

43 answer that they think it is neither calm nor noisy, 23 percent think it is calm and 2 percent do not know.

All students in the Swedish school have the right to study leave, according to the Education Act - and at Trandaredsskolan they have worked to get calmer lessons.

The students found a solution

When class 5A was fourth grader, it was very messy in the classroom.

Since then, students and teachers have come up with their own solutions to create more peace of mind.

Among other things, they play games or draw the first ten minutes of the lesson.

But they have also tested other measures:

- We have calm music, so that you unwind and realize that the game is over, says student Mohammed.

- And when we go out into the corridor, we draw knitting needles, then it gets a little calmer in the corridor as well.

You only go out one by one.

Before, when everyone went out at the same time, it became very crowded.

says his classmate Delnia.

Teachers: Got better

The teachers think that the difference is big compared to a year ago.

- We think it has gotten a lot better since the fourth, and we have made a lot of different adjustments, says teacher Viktoria Raneby.

Starting the lessons in a different way has worked well.

That's what teacher Malin Palmé says.

- Among other things, we have this with people going in in the morning and having them read the news or read their book.

It has worked so well that we have continued to do it on several sessions.
