More than two months after the events, a murder has been elucidated in Brest.

On February 19, the lifeless body of a 39-year-old man was discovered at his home in the Bellevue district.

After the first findings, the criminal track was quickly favored by the investigators.

On Tuesday, four people were arrested in Brest and Rennes and placed in police custody in connection with this case, we learned from the Brest prosecutor's office.

"The hearings conducted made it possible to establish that the homicide had taken place on the night of February 18 to February 19, 2022 in circumstances involving more particularly one of the persons in custody", underlines the prosecution.

Two people dismissed

At the end of the police custody, two of the four people arrested were cleared.

The main suspect, a 41-year-old man, was indicted for murder and theft in a meeting and imprisoned in the remand center in Brest.

Another individual, aged 37, was also indicted for theft in a meeting, failure to assist a person in danger and failure to report a crime before being placed under judicial supervision.
