Germany's Oktoberfest, known as the world's largest beer festival, will be held for the first time in three years from September.

The Oktoberfest in Munich, southern Germany, is known as the world's largest beer festival, with approximately 6 million visitors from around the world each year.

However, last year and Otoshi were canceled for the second consecutive year due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, and the whereabouts of this event were drawing attention.

Under these circumstances, Mayor Reiter of Munich held a press conference on the 29th and announced that he had allowed the event for the first time in three years.

This year's Oktoberfest will be held from September 17th to October 3rd.

In Munich, as Russia invaded Ukraine and the casualties of its citizens increased, there was debate over whether to hold a grand festival, so Mayor Reiter carefully decided that it was "not an easy decision". I explained that it was a conclusion after doing so.

Also, in Germany, the number of people infected with the new corona is decreasing and many regulations have been relaxed, so there are no plans for infection control such as restrictions on admission to the venue.

However, Mayor Reiter said that if the infection of the new corona spreads and regulations are tightened again, it may be postponed.
