Especially for start-ups, which need funds.

    Not necessarily huge.

What we want is to tell great stories.

It is not uncommon for athletes to invest in companies.

In 2016, Teddy Riner, for example, supported the return to grace of the century-old company Thomson.

In 2019, Tony Parker bet on Vogo, which develops solutions to allow spectators of a match to come back to an action, or change the camera, on their smartphone.

This attraction of athletes for entrepreneurship is at the heart of Factory Club, the platform founded by Montpellier rugby player Kélian Galletier.

So that no project leader is left on the sidelines, the French international, supported by his teammates Yvan Reilhac, Gabriel Ngandebe and Vincent Giudicelli, has joined forces with the company Gravity to launch an interface where innovative entrepreneurs can present their ideas to the athletes.

Because this link between athletes and entrepreneurs has “very strong potential”, confides Kélian Galletier.

“Particularly for start-ups, which need funds.

Not necessarily huge.

We offer entrance tickets at 10,000 euros.

What we want is to tell great stories.

Give ideas for conversions to athletes

Startups must answer, when they register on the platform, in a very intuitive way, a series of 60 very detailed questions, to assess the viability of their project, and create their application file.

Each year, the ten best will be selected, and will participate in an event, where they will be able to pitch their ideas in front of athletes.

The first edition will take place on July 1, at the FDI Stadium, in Montpellier, will host an event, where investors and entrepreneurs can meet.

It is possible to apply until May 8.

And Factory Club is also very interesting for athletes, “in the idea of a retraining, notes Kélian Galletier.

In our sports bubble, we are often a little isolated ”.

So, putting a ticket in a project is perhaps, one day, the opportunity to consider its reconversion.

"And when you're already associated, it's easier," says the Montpellier rugby player.

We have a lot to contribute, between entrepreneurs and athletes.
