China News Agency, United Nations, April 28. The United Nations Security Council issued a presidential press statement on the 28th, expressing the strongest condemnation of the terrorist attack on the shuttle bus of the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi in Pakistan on April 26th.

  The Chairman's press statement stated that the members of the Security Council condemned the terrorist attack at the University of Karachi in the strongest terms, which killed three Chinese and one Pakistani and injured many others. The "Baluchi Liberation Army" Majid Brigade has declared responsible for the incident.

  Council members expressed their deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and to the governments of Pakistan and China, reiterated that terrorism in any form and manifestation constitutes a serious threat to international peace and security, and stressed that the perpetrators, organizers and sponsors of terrorist acts should be bring them to justice.

Council members also urged all countries to actively cooperate with the governments of Pakistan and China and all other relevant authorities in this regard, in accordance with their obligations under international law and Security Council resolutions.

  The Chairman's press statement pointed out that any act of terrorism, regardless of its motives, when and by whom it occurred, is criminal and inexcusable.

All countries should take all measures to combat the threat posed by terrorism to international peace and security in accordance with their obligations under international law such as the UN Charter.
