“On April 27, at about 23:00 Moscow time, the Ukrainian armed forces launched a massive missile strike with Tochka-U ballistic missiles and high-power multiple rocket launchers on residential areas in the central part of the city of Kherson,” he said.
Konashenkov stressed that the targets of the strike were residential areas in the area of Ushakov Avenue, where a large number of social institutions are located.
“Russian air defense units repelled a missile attack by Ukrainian troops on residential areas of Kherson,” the representative of the Ministry of Defense emphasized.
Earlier, the media reported that Ukrainian troops hit Kherson with Tochka-U missiles.
As a source in law enforcement agencies told RIA Novosti, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired three missiles at Kherson, two of them were shot down.
Later it became known that there were no deaths as a result of the shelling of Kherson by the Ukrainian military.
