According to TASS, Sandu commented on reports of a request from Kyiv to sell the republic's MiG-29 fighter jets.

“Ukraine asks for military assistance from all countries... But our country does not have modern military equipment, and secondly, there is a Constitution that says that we cannot do this,” Sandu said.

At the same time, she offered to send sappers to help Ukraine.

The Moldovan Foreign Ministry also reported that the republic would not join the EU and US restrictions on Russia, as the country's economy is too dependent on cooperation with Russia, especially in the energy sector.
