"The contract is false" The International Chamber of Commerce unmasks Luceño and Medina
Pelotazo Más Madrid denounces that the City Council altered documents that it sent to the Prosecutor's Office, changing dates and removing names
The
Madrid City Council
has asked Judge
Adolfo Carretero
to contact the International Chamber of Commerce to verify the falsity of the documents presented by
Luis Medina and Alberto Luceño.
One day after the publication in EL MUNDO of the denial of this body about the authenticity of the documents, the first reactions have arrived.
The importance of this matter is that there could be evidence of one of the thesis of the Prosecutor's Office, and that is that the commission agents altered some of the documents used in the contract that reported six million profits.
It must be remembered that the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) denounced to this newspaper that
the contract was "false",
it was based on a "model with an old logo" and was part of documents that have been denounced as false for more than 15 years .
In addition, he issued a strong statement about it.
The ICC also denied Luceño and Medina about the amount of the commissions.
They stated that their benefits were in line with the ICC's recommendations, but the ICC said it
had never made such recommendations.
On the other hand, the Anti-Corruption prosecutor has answered the request of Más Madrid that the
manager of the funeral company, Fernando Sánchez, be cited as being investigated.
The prosecutor sees no reason to cite him as investigated, because both the funeral home and the City Council, he maintains, "have responded promptly to all the requirements made by the Prosecutor's Office" and have not hindered the investigation.
On the other hand, the prosecutor does recognize that the documents that the City Council sent him in April 2021 are different from those that the funeral home sent him a few months earlier, although
he does not consider that these differences have criminal relevance.
Reopening of the New York case
On the other hand, this case has prompted new developments in another very similar one: the purchase by the Madrid City Council of
2.5 million euros in 500,000 masks
from the company
Sinclair & Wilde Ltd.,
based in
Delaware (USA) .
These masks were so defective that they were never used, and the Municipal Police itself filed a complaint in court.
This case, which fell to the Investigating Court number 30 of Madrid (the other is at 47), was filed in 2020 in the absence of
Phillipe Haim Solomon,
the CEO of this company.
The alleged impossibility of finding him ended a few days ago, when the
Police
received information from their counterpart in New York about the whereabouts of this man.
In addition, the newspaper
Infolibre
spoke with him, which gives an idea that he can be located.
Given these developments,
Más Madrid has requested to appear
in the case as a popular prosecution and
has asked the court to reopen the proceedings.
