Emmanuel Macron went to the Percy military hospital in Clamart (Hauts-de-Seine), to meet wounded soldiers.

In 2017, the head of state had already moved there a few days after his re-election.

A sign of recognition from Macron

Emmanuel Macron was at the bedside of wounded soldiers in external operations.

Sign of the recognition of the President of the Republic, also head of the armies, to these men touched in their flesh for their commitment to France.

After Cergy on Wednesday morning, this is Emmanuel Macron's second trip since his re-election on Sunday.

It has now been a little over an hour and a half that he has been talking with residents as well as with caregivers at this Percy army training hospital.

A visit he makes accompanied by the Minister of the Armies Florence Parly, and the First Lady Brigitte Macron.

But no image or sound of this move.

Journalists were asked to stay outside the building so as not to disturb patients.

A little earlier this Thursday, a Council of Ministers took place.

According to government spokesman Gabriel Attal, it was not the last.

"No, it was not the last Council of Ministers of Emmanuel Macron's first five-year term. The latter ends on May 14 at midnight," he said.

Which prime minister?

In the courtyard of the Elysée, however, there was almost a holiday spirit for certain ministers.

An event rare enough to be underlined: all the members of the government were present at this Council.

Minister, Minister Delegates, Secretaries of State… All were there.

Another indication that this council was potentially the last: the ministers shared a lunch cocktail at the end, which also happens very rarely.

But here is if until now, the entourage of the president implied that the name of the next prime minister would be revealed at the beginning of next week.

The latest echoes of the Palace state that it is not necessarily for now.

The suspense could last a few more days, by May 14 at the latest, the official start date of the second term.

In the meantime, a new name never mentioned so far is increasingly cited in macronie for Matignon: that of Véronique Bédague, current director general of Nexity and former director of cabinet of Manuel Valls, when the latter was prime minister.
