"He is a historic player, who has been able to hold his own over time, who has great longevity. He has earned the respect of the whole club and the whole city. I hope that tomorrow he will be able to celebrate this 100th match with a great performance," OM coach Jorge Sampaoli said of Mandanda on Wednesday.

Although he has often preferred to line up Pau Lopez in goal, Sampaoli has regularly trusted Mandanda in recent weeks, especially in European competition.

Mandanda has thus played all the matches of the Marseille course in C4.

In Rotterdam, the Marseille goalkeeper and captain will therefore play his 100th European match with the OM jersey.

His first was in 2007, with a 2-0 win over Besiktas in the Champions League.

For the rest, Sampaoli bet on speed in attack, with the tenure of Bamba Dieng and Cédric Bakambu.

This means that Milik, back from injury and holder last Sunday in Reims (1-0), will start on the bench.

This is also the case for Turkish winger Cengiz Under.

The rest of the Marseille squad is no surprise.

The OM team:

Mandanda - Rongier, Saliba, Caleta-Car, Luan Peres - Kamara - Gerson, Payet, Guendouzi, Dieng - Bakambu
