- It is very difficult when we do not get hold of people.

It has become harder and harder in recent years, says Benny Honkala, owner of BH Svets.

He estimates that right now he would need to hire at least one more person in addition to the apprentice Edvin Frankner, who will soon get a permanent job as a welder at the company.

"I really want to work"

Many of the twelve employees who work with contract welding and edge pressing are today forced to work overtime to get the business together.

Edvin Frankner will soon finish his education at the apprenticeship academy at Bäckadalsgymnasiet in Jönköping.

Now in year three, he has worked at BH Svets four days a week with a certain salary, which he appreciates.

He finds it difficult to understand that the interest in this type of job is cool.

- Many people want to work with a computer and sit in an office all the time, but I like to work for real, he laughs.

Is there any development potential in a job like this?

- Yes, you can make a career out of it and become really good and earn a lot of money, says Edvin Frankner.
