A man suspected of nearly twenty fires in Alsace arrested

A 28-year-old suspect was arrested earlier this week by the Sélestat gendarmes.

He has since been referred to the Colmar prosecutor's office.

He is suspected of having committed 18 fires, mainly in the Bas-Rhin, and has been indicted for "destruction by means dangerous to people" specify our colleagues.

The investigations are continuing and a psychiatric expertise has been requested.
