More than 100 agents of the

Mossos d'Esquadra

and the

National Police

participated in an operation in several towns in the

Garraf

area to dismantle a family clan that was selling drugs in various establishments, such as a supermarket, a gym and a bar in Sant Pere of Ribes.

There are seven detainees, of which four have entered prison.

The police carried out 11 entries and searches in premises in

Sant Pere de Ribes,

Vilafranca del Penedès

and

Martorell,

in which 80,000 euros in cash, 125 single doses of cocaine, 60 grams of cocaine, 50 bars of hashish, 225 single doses of marijuana were seized. , a firearm, as well as utensils for dispensing drugs,

The investigation began when it was found that drugs were being sold in two shops in the municipality and, for this reason, a joint device was set up between Mossos and the Police that allowed the main suspect to be identified, a man with a history of similar crimes and arrested in 2014. Thus, it was found that he was once again selling cocaine, hashish and marijuana in a supermarket, a bar and a gym in Sant Pere de Ribes.

Based on this discovery, the agents identified their suppliers in Martorell and Vilafranca del Penedès.

A week ago they began the operation by order of the Investigating Court number 8 of Vilanova i la Geltrú with 11 records and seven detainees, accused of continued crime against public health, of which four were imprisoned by court order.

The agents also denounced another seven people for an irregular situation in the country.
