China News Network reporter Ran Wenjuan

In Shuanghu County, Tibet Autonomous Region, with an average altitude of more than 5,000 meters and a total area of 116,700 square kilometers, Yexi Zhuoga has been a "snow messenger" for more than 10 years.

With a total mileage of more than 300,000 kilometers of postal routes, she has built a bridge of communication between China's highest-altitude county and the outside world, and has also brought changes and vitality to the land of northern Tibet.

In July 2005, 24-year-old Yexi Zhuoga came to the Shuanghu Post Office from his hometown of Nima County with a sack of luggage. He was the third employee here and the only literate person.

Since then, she has put on "postal green" and became a postman who traveled through the Qiangtang grassland.

"When I first came here, Shuanghu Post Office only received and sent mail and ordered newspapers and magazines." Yexi Zhuoga still remembered that most of the parcels sent by herdsmen at that time were dried meat, Daily necessities, etc., the overall number is very small.

In addition to newspapers and periodicals, most of the mails received by the post are students' admission notices.

Every July and August are always the busiest and happiest time for Yeshe Zhuoga.

At this time, the school's admission notices were issued one after another. In order to let the students and parents get the news earlier, she always set off at the first time and delivered the notices over the mountains.

"Mail is what the herdsmen think and look forward to. Everyone is very happy to see our mail truck." Every time Yexi Zhuoga goes to the countryside to deliver mail, he is not only the "letter" but also the "reader" of the herdsmen.

She often also plays the role of a buyer, and helping herdsmen to buy daily necessities and pay phone bills has also become part of her job.

In 2014, Yixi Zhuoga served as the deputy director of the Shuanghu County Post Office, focusing on expanding the Shuanghu postal business.

"Combining with the actual needs of the herdsmen, we have successively opened services such as remittance, philately, rural postal communication in agricultural and pastoral areas, toll collection and online shopping." Since 2015, the traffic conditions from Nagqu to Shuanghu have begun to improve. The journey that takes two or three days is reduced to one day, and the infrastructure such as communication conditions has also been greatly improved.

The splendor of the outside world has entered the life of the herdsmen more conveniently, and everyone can place orders and shop online through smartphones.

Clothes, cosmetics, electronic products... There is a steady stream of packages entering Shuanghu County.

"The mail truck is full every time, and everyone buys a lot of things."

With the rise of e-commerce business, Yeshe Zhuoga also moved his mind.

In 2018, she took advantage of the opportunity to go to the village to teach everyone how to use online shopping platforms such as "Mail Tesco" and become familiar with e-commerce business.

Under her leadership, some herdsmen became online shop owners.

"Shuanghu County's dairy products, sheepskin jackets, card mats and other specialties have also appeared on the e-commerce platform, and sales have gradually increased." Yixi Zhuoga said that through postal logistics, Shuanghu County is known to more people, and local herdsmen Also increased income.

Taking root in Shuanghu for more than ten years, Yexi Zhuoga has witnessed the development of Shuanghu and the improvement of the living standards of local herdsmen, and the postal route to the highest county in China has become more and more convenient.

And she herself also found the "sense of gain" in life here.

"Shuanghu will always be my concern. I hope this land will get better and better." (End)
