She noted that such a decision is “the best gift” to the family, relatives of Yaroshenko and many Russian citizens who watched his fate.

“It is good that our competent authorities did not forget about Yaroshenko and helped him in every possible way, and now he will return home,” the expert added.

In addition, the specialist expressed her hope that the next step would be the release of Viktor Bout. 

Earlier it became known that Russia and the United States exchanged Trevor Reid for Konstantin Yaroshenko.

The Russian Embassy in the United States last December responded to a call by State Department spokesman Ned Price to release the Americans.

Diplomats accompanied the publication with hashtags demanding the release of Konstantin Yaroshenko, Roman Seleznev and Viktor Bout, who are in US prisons.
