At the end of the match, Nicola Sansone gave Bologna the victory by taking advantage of a hazardous touch from Perisic and a completely missed clearance from goalkeeper Stefan Radu (2-1, 81st).
In the other game of the evening, Atalanta Bergamo snatched a 4-4 draw after being down 4-2 in a game marked by four penalties, two on each side.
But the Bergamasques, who could have come within a point of fifth place occupied by AS Roma, remain eighth.
