A strong explosion occurred in an apartment building on Monday evening in the city center of Drancy (Seine-Saint-Denis).
Residents heard a detonation around 8:20 p.m., reports Actu Seine-Saint-Denis.
The explosion occurred in a two-story building.
Shortly after, a fire started on the ground floor of the building.
Emergency services and firefighters were immediately alerted.

Seriously injured cared for
The explosion seriously injured a man who was taken care of by the emergency services and hospitalized.
For their part, the firefighters were responsible for bringing the fire under control.
The flames were completely extinguished after two hours of intervention.
The firefighters then inspected the area with the help of an exploration robot, used for interventions in dangerous areas.
