The Israeli army announced today, Tuesday, that it had thwarted an infiltration and smuggling of weapons and ammunition from Lebanon, and published footage of what it said was an attempt to infiltrate two young men through the border fence.

And army spokesman Avichai Adraee said - on his Twitter account - that after monitoring the attempt of the two suspects to infiltrate into Israel, the security forces were called to the place to discover two pieces of weapons and about 100 hand grenades.

Adraee added that the Israeli forces will continue to act against any attempt to carry out what he described as acts of sabotage or smuggling on the borders of Lebanon.

The infiltration and smuggling attempt, which the Israeli army talked about, comes two days after two missiles were launched from Lebanon towards an Israeli settlement area in the Western Galilee.

The Israeli army responded with artillery shelling targeting an area, saying that the two missiles were fired from us, accusing Palestinian organizations in camps in southern Lebanon of being behind the missile attack.
