A robbery followed by a fire.

Three men with their faces hidden by a balaclava entered a night grocery store in Cavaillon (Vaucluse) on Friday evening, reports Le Dauphiné.

Only the manager of the business and a customer were at that time in the premises.

The robbers forced them to kneel at gunpoint.

They then emptied cans of gasoline onto the floor of the store and set fires.

An ongoing investigation

The three men fled in a car potentially driven by a fourth suspect, notes

Quickly alerted, the firefighters intervened and brought the fire under control.

The two victims, not injured but in a state of shock, were taken care of by the emergency services.

An investigation was opened into these facts and the Avignon prosecutor's office entrusted the investigations to the judicial police on Monday.

The first elements suggest for the moment a settling of scores against the backdrop of drug trafficking, given the manager's judicial past.
