The Iraqi politician and head of the Anbar Salvation Council, Hamid Al-Hayes, made a strange bet of its kind with the escalation of the crisis in Iraq as a result of the failure of political forces to agree on choosing a new president for the country and forming the new government.

Al-Hayes said - in a television interview - that the keys to the Iraqi state and the formation of the government are in the hands of the head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, stressing that the political forces have no choice but to go to al-Maliki and propose to form a government on him "for the sake of Iraq", and he may accept or reject that. .

Al-Hayes added that he has a pregnant cow, which he will give to whoever can form a government without Nouri al-Maliki.

Sheikh Hamid Al-Hayes: Anyone who dares form a government without #Nuri_Al-Maliki, give him “Haisha”!!!

Haisha!

Haisha!

mixed opinions

Al-Hayes' statement provoked wide Iraqi reactions on social media platforms, which varied between sarcastic and critical comments on the content of the statement.

And political activist Ahmed Al-Rubaie said - via his Twitter account - that "Hamid Al-Hayes - who Yemenis himself at the Ministry of Culture - says: Who can form a government without Al-Maliki, I give him my cow," and he asked: "Who is fortunate enough to win the cow?"

Yabah Hamid Al-Hayes, who is self-righteous in the Ministry of Culture, says:

Whoever can form a government without Abu Israa, Antieh Haishti

So far, Parliament has succeeded in electing its speaker, Muhammad al-Halbousi, and his two deputies, in its first session on the ninth of last January, and the major differences between the winning blocs prevented moving forward with the next step, which is to elect a new president for the country, due to the lack of a quorum for that;

The law requires the presence of two-thirds of parliament members (220 deputies) out of the 329 total number of deputies in the session to elect the president.

The Sadrist movement led by Muqtada al-Sadr won the largest number of parliament seats in the October elections (72 seats out of 329), and formed an alliance with the Sunni Sovereignty Alliance, which includes the "Progress" blocs led by Muhammad al-Halbousi and "Azm" led by Khamis al-Khanjar, and the party Kurdistan Democratic Party led by Massoud Barzani.

Al-Sadr previously stipulated that the forces of the coordination framework, which includes the most prominent Shiite forces, be required to participate in the government that he intends to form, that the head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, not be part of it.

Al-Sadr blames Al-Maliki, who headed the government in two successive terms (2006-2014), for the "spread of corruption and acts of violence" in the country, as well as the Islamic State's invasion of a third of Iraq in the summer of 2014.
