The Dubai Government Human Resources Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dubai Customs to support the “My Experience” platform launched by the Department to provide future opportunities for skilled Emiratis to enter the field of entrepreneurship.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of the Department, and Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs, CEO of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation.

The memorandum of understanding aims to publish and circulate the “My Experience” platform to support Emirati citizens participating in it, and to purchase the services offered by them in it, as Dubai Customs will announce the platform on its accounts on social networking sites, and install the platform’s link on its websites, and encourage citizens to Skilled employees to register on the platform, and provide constructive ideas to contribute to its development.

Under the memorandum of understanding, the department provides, among other things, the necessary technical support for the use of the platform by Dubai Customs, and organizes awareness workshops on how to take advantage of the platform.

Abdullah Al Falasi said that the department launched the My Experience Platform with the aim of providing the opportunity for skilled Emiratis to enter the field of entrepreneurship, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as His Highness believes that providing students and youth with skills and tools Entrepreneurship is of great importance within the state's directions, as it is a national wealth and investment for the future.

He added that the department encourages Emiratis to become entrepreneurs, and cooperates with higher education institutions in the country with the aim of attracting students to register and participate in "My Experiences", which is an innovative platform through which Emiratis can market their services free of charge, with the support provided by the department.

Al Falasi explained that the department was keen to communicate with many authorities, and organized many workshops to introduce the platform, and to provide future opportunities for Emiratis to enter the field of entrepreneurship, and to achieve social security and financial sufficiency for them from the age of 18 years and above, through flexibility in working within a skill that suits passion for all of them.

For his part, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih affirmed Dubai Customs' keenness to support highly skilled, talented, creative and talented citizens, and to enable them to develop their businesses, to ensure their active participation in the development of the national economy of the UAE.

He said that the "My Experience" platform, which was developed by the Dubai Government Human Resources Department to support citizens in the areas of self-employment, is one of the most important channels that enable them to reach the largest segment of customers to increase their sales, which represents strong support for the projects of young citizens.

He also emphasized the presentation of constructive ideas to contribute to the development of the "Khebraiti" platform.

The platform is witnessing a great turnout, and an increase in the number of registered participants, who have reached 623 Emirati participants from several disciplines, such as: consultants, legal professionals, engineers, design and graphics, designers of smart applications and logos, in addition to the business category.

The number of freelance workers on the platform reached 522, and the number of buyers from the platform was 149 people or entities.

The number of services offered through the platform reached 185.

The platform includes Emirati experts in the disciplines of academic training, leadership of change in the government sector, in addition to various skills and experiences in the field of human resources and employment, talent acquisition, and design. Continuous development of the skills of its participants.

My experiences platform serves all categories of citizens, including senior citizens, retirees, people of determination, and housewives, and it will be the link between various sectors in the country and abroad and between Emirati self-skilled, as it allows government and international bodies as well as individuals to easily access it, and learn about the projects offered. Through it, dealing with it and providing support for any project in it, and the freelancers will be given a certified freelance certificate after registering on the platform. The department will also conduct training programs at a rate of once a month for the freelancers, to familiarize them with the platform, the method of registering services, how to deal with buyers, and informing them more about the terms and conditions On the platform, in addition to another program for the participating parties, where they are introduced to the method of announcing their requests, the method of dealing with freelancers, and the method of purchasing.

The platform provides innovative solutions to the challenges facing freelancers, and helps them highlight their capabilities in various sectors, by linking project owners and companies with free-skilled Emiratis directly and without intermediaries, which would enable freelancers and freelancers to create more opportunities for them, as well as strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors, and employing knowledge and technological development to consolidate the sustainable growth of the Emirate of Dubai.
