The Head of State achieved his best scores in Ile-de-France (73.02%) and in the West.

But even if two out of three people voted for Emmanuel Macron in Brittany, Marine Le Pen is progressing by 9 points, mainly in rural areas.

A generational and socio-economic divide

According to a study by Ipsos, the divide between voters is not so much geographical as generational and socio-economic.

Emmanuel Macron is widely accepted among seniors, particularly among those over 70 (71%-29%) and among 18-24 year olds (61%-39%).

But the two candidates are almost equal among 25-59 year olds, Marine Le Pen even ahead of the head of state among 50-59 year olds.
