The National Assembly Judiciary Committee's deliberation of the 'Inspection Completed' Bill has begun in earnest.

Yesterday (25th), the Democratic Party convened a second lieutenant in the Judiciary Committee in protest against the conclusion of the People's Power leadership that a reconsideration was necessary, but the deliberation of the bill, which continued until late at night, decided to resume today.

The 1st subcommittee of the Judiciary Committee of the National Assembly, held at about 9:30 last night, continued the deliberation of the so-called 'examination and overhaul' bill until 11:30, close to midnight.

In the two-hour meeting, not only the Democratic Party, but also the People's Power lawmakers attended, deliberation was conducted based on the 'check-and-run' arbitration plan proposed by National Assembly Speaker Park Byeong-seok last week.

[Park Jumin / Democratic Party Judiciary Committee Secretary: I would like to say that because there are so many opinions of lawmakers, we did not finish the deliberation and only reviewed half of them.

We decided to hold another meeting tomorrow to deliberate...

No conclusion has been reached regarding the reconsideration of the arbitration proposal raised by the People's Power.

Committee: (During arbitration) About half of us reviewed and presented our opinions, so we ended up expressing our opinions without making a separate conclusion.]

It will resume at 1pm.

The Democratic Party plans to finish deliberation on the law by today and send it to the plenary meeting of the Judiciary Committee tomorrow.

The arbitration proposal must be finalized at the plenary session within this week before it can be submitted to the Moon Jae-in administration's final cabinet meeting scheduled for the 3rd of next month.

With a dramatic agreement last week, the Judiciary Committee was also expected to deliberate on the bill without any disagreement, but the power of the people's leadership took out a card to review the arbitration plan on the grounds of public opposition, and the current was rapidly cooled.

Yesterday afternoon, the ruling and opposition party leaders met and exchanged opinions, but could not find a point of contact, and the Democratic Party has declared its policy that it will not be able to handle it alone.
