Zelensky receives Blinken and Austin in Kyiv

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky received on Sunday in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin as a delegation from Washington visiting the besieged country.

The two top US officials met Zelensky in the Ukrainian capital, presidential advisor Oleksiy Aristovich said in a video interview Sunday night.

He did not provide more details yet.

Ukraine announced the visit on Saturday.

There was no comment from Washington.

Under constant attack from Russian forces, Zelensky said before the visit that he intends to discuss with Blinken and Austin the question of what weapons Ukraine needs and how quickly they can be made available.
