The UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, called on the Yemeni parties to reach a solution regarding the procedures for resuming flights from Sanaa International Airport, while the Yemeni government blamed the Houthi militia for delaying the first flight from the airport, while Houthi violations of the armistice continued.

In a statement, the UN envoy to Yemen expressed his concern over the postponement of the first commercial flight from Sanaa airport, which was scheduled today, and urged the parties to work constructively with him and his office to find a solution that would allow the resumption of flights as planned.

While the Yemeni Airlines Company announced the postponement of operating its flight from Sana’a International Airport, which was scheduled to start today, Sunday;

After delaying the arrival of operating permits for the first time, six years ago, due to its failure to receive operating permits, the Yemeni government held the Houthi militia responsible for postponing the flight from Sanaa airport for not adhering to the procedures agreed upon between the two sides through the United Nations.

In a statement, the government stressed the need for the Houthi militias to abide by the procedures in place at Seiyun and Aden airports, as a condition for the resumption of commercial flights to and from Sanaa International Airport;

The militias are held responsible for postponing flights and for the continued suffering of citizens.

The official Saba news agency quoted the Yemeni government's statement as saying: "Unfortunately, the Houthi militias, through the Yemeni office in Sana'a, closed all ticket sales outlets, and limited the issuance of the Yemeni office in Sana'a, and tickets were issued to travelers with passports issued by the militias."

The statement added: "The government's keenness on the safety of procedures and its obligations before the international community and the receiving countries, has requested, through the Office of the Special Envoy, the necessity for the Houthis to abide by what has been agreed upon, to amend the list of passengers and to take down the names of passengers who do not hold recognized passports."

In addition, the Yemeni army announced that it had monitored 94 violations of the UN armistice committed by the militias in the governorates of Taiz, Hodeidah, Hajjah, Marib, Abyan and Saada.

In Aden, arrangements continued to secure the liberated areas and provide services to citizens by members of the Presidential Leadership Council, where the Vice-President of the Council, Abu Zara’a Al Muharrami, held a meeting with the leaders of the security services in Aden and Lahj, stressing that the next stage is pivotal and important at all levels, and requires discipline and raising the level of readiness. the wish.



The temporary capital, Aden, witnessed an expanded meeting of the leaders of the Ministry of Interior, headed by Interior Minister Ibrahim Haidan, in which the institutional work of the ministry's organs was inaugurated, according to the official "Saba" agency.
