Violence was again invited on the football fields this weekend.
On Saturday afternoon, an incident broke out after the National 3 match between the Stade Rennais reserve and the Stade Brestois reserve.
After the defeat of the Rouge et Noir (2-3), the director of the Stade Rennais training center was verbally and physically attacked by the father of a player from the reserve team at the Piverdière training center in Rennes .
In a press release published this Sunday noon, the Breton club reacted to this incident.
"Pending an internal investigation, Stade Rennais strongly condemns this unacceptable behavior which is radically opposed to the values of football and the spirit of the Rouge et Noir academy", indicates the club.
Stade Rennais FC strongly condemns the aggression suffered by Denis Arnaud and sends its full support to its Director of the training center as well as to the club's educators. ⤵️
