On the evening of April 24, local time, after 80% of the votes were processed by the Slovenian Electoral Commission, the Liberal Movement Party announced the victory.

  "Today, the dream is being realized, not only our dream, but also the dream of most of Slovenia." Liberal Movement Party leader Robert Golob congratulated the party headquarters via video.

Golob promised that he would form a government as soon as possible.

  As of 23:00 local time, the Election Commission announced that the turnout was 67.27%.

After counting 96.43% of the votes, the Liberal Democrats were far ahead with 34.25% of the vote.

The Slovenian Democratic Party, led by the current Prime Minister Jansa, won 23.93% of the vote, ranking second.

As of now, the Liberal Movement party has won 40 seats in the parliament, and the Democrats have won 28 seats.

  The National Assembly of Slovenia is the country's highest legislative body. The National Assembly consists of 90 members who are directly elected for a four-year term.
