China News Service, April 24 (Xinhua) According to a comprehensive report, on the 24th local time, the "Korea-Japan Policy Consultation Delegation" sent by President-elect Yoon Seok-yue of South Korea left for Japan for a five-day visit to Japan.

They will discuss issues such as the development of Korea-Japan relations and Korea-US-Japan cooperation.

According to the report, this is the second time that Yin Xiyue has sent a delegation to a foreign country after the United States.

The delegation also carried a handwritten letter from Yin Xiyue to Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

They will meet with the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government departments, the National Assembly, the financial and economic circles, the press, and academia.

According to reports, the delegation may meet with Fumio Kishida and Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshisaka Hayashi.

In addition, the delegation may also meet with former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Yoshihide Suga, which are currently being coordinated.

Japanese media reported that the focus of the meeting was whether to find a breakthrough in historical issues such as the former conscripted labor lawsuits and the issue of comfort women, which led to the deterioration of Japan-South Korea relations.

In addition, Korean media said that if the meeting between the delegation and Fumio Kishida takes place, the two sides may discuss about Fumio Kishida attending the inauguration ceremony of Yin Xiyue.
