With approximately 41.2% of the vote, Marine Le Pen progressed in the second round of the presidential election.

In 2017, she only won 33.90% of the vote against Emmanuel Macron.

However, this new score does not open the doors of the Élysée to him.

The outgoing president was reappointed for a second term on Sunday with 58.8% of the vote.

In her speech, shortly after 8 p.m., the candidate of the National Rally first commented on this result from her HQ, before addressing her next objective: the legislative elections.

"Tonight we are launching the great electoral battle of the legislative elections. I will lead this battle alongside Jordan Bardella, with all those who had the courage to oppose Emmanuel Macron in the second round, with all those who have France pegged to the body", she declared in front of her supporters.

Elected MP for Pas-de-Calais five years ago, Marine Le Pen assures her: "I will lead this battle."

Presenting herself in clear opposition to the re-elected president, the presidential runner-up insisted: "The RN will work to unite all those wherever they come from who want to come together and gather their forces against Emmanuel Macron in order to present or support candidates everywhere."

On the set of TF1, Jordan Bardella, president of the RN since September and the start of Marine Le Pen's campaign, described the next legislative elections as "third round".

"The third round starts tonight"

Jean-Luc Mélenchon, he said he was satisfied to see Marine Le Pen not gaining the presidency: "This is very good news for the unity of our people."

The rebellious, on the other hand, did not have a softer word with regard to Emmanuel Macron.

The two finalists "have barely more than a third of registered voters", he tackled, before looking, too, towards the legislative elections.

"Do not resign yourself," said the deputy of Bouches-du-Rhône to his supporters.

"The third round begins tonight. On June 12 and 19, another world is still possible if you elect a majority of deputies from the new popular union which must expand," he said.

During the between-two-rounds, Jean-Luc Mélenchon had invited the voters to "elect him Prime Minister" during this upcoming election.

His campaign manager, Manuel Bompard, still believes in it: the leader of La France insoumise can be Prime Minister, "not to be Prime Minister, but to apply his program, freeze prices, increase the minimum wage, ensure that 'we make the Sixth Republic".

To all of you, I say: do not resign yourself.

On the contrary: take action frankly and massively.

Round 3 starts tonight.

On June 12 and 19, the legislative elections take place.

You can beat #Macron and choose another path.

Arriving fourth in the first round with 7.07% of the vote, Éric Zemmour also spoke about the legislative elections.

With this in mind, the candidate of the Reconquête!

called on "the national bloc to unite and come together".

"There can be no electoral victory without the alliance between all the rights", declared the former journalist, faithful to his desire for a union of the rights.

"Our coalition is not an option, it is a necessity, it is a duty," he insisted.
