Macron: "I'm not the boss of a team, I'm the boss of everyone"

Emmanuel Macron, who was re-elected president of France on Sunday against his far-right rival Marine Le Pen, announced that voters against the National Rally party "require me for the coming years", but also addressed his opponents, saying, "I am not the leader of a team, but the leader of everyone."

"I know that a number of our compatriots voted for me today, not in support of the ideas I carry, but to stand against (ideas) of the extreme right," Macron said in a speech in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Macron added that it was necessary to "give answers" to those who were pushed by "anger and difference of opinion" to vote to the far right.
