In previous years, before the pandemic, the Valborg celebration in Leksand has attracted around 5,000 people and then there has been a may fire at the homesteads.

But this year it will be something completely different.

- Now we take the chance and invite children and young people to life and movement on Torget, says Martina Stenvall who is a business developer at Leksand municipality.

The day will start with Barnens Valborg with, among other things, various performances and festivities.

A-tractors instead of may fire

In the evening, there will be an A-tractor meeting that the municipality arranges in collaboration with the churches in Leksand.

They estimate that there may be up to 50 A-tractors to Torget.

- We believe that there will be a better atmosphere with a mix of young people and adults and we want to be out and meet the young people where they are, says Pia Park from Frikyrkan in Insjön.

Wants to create a safe municipality

- We are one of Sweden's safest municipalities and this is part of continuing to be so, says Martina Stenvall.
