Marine Le Pen, beaten Sunday in the second round of the presidential election with around 42% of the vote, considered that her score was "a resounding victory".

"The ideas we represent are reaching new heights (…) The result in itself represents a resounding victory," she said from her electoral headquarters on Sunday evening, shortly after the publication of the estimates which gave Emmanuel Macron re-elected.

Asked on TF1 about the possible candidacy of Ms. Le Pen in the legislative elections, the president of RN Jordan Bardella hinted that she would seek re-election in the 11th district of Pas-de-Calais (Hénin-Beaumont / Carvin) .

“She largely implied it.

I am not speaking for her” but “I think she will be a legislative candidate in her popular constituency of Pas-de-Calais”, he said.

Beaten in 2007 and 2012 in this constituency of Hénin-Beaumont, a city where the RN achieves among its best electoral scores in France, Marine Le Pen became a deputy in the 2017 legislative elections.
