A Lebanese security source told Al Jazeera that two missiles were fired from southern Lebanon towards northern Israel.

Al-Jazeera correspondent explained that the area from which the two missiles were launched is located south of Tyre, where the United Nations peacekeeping forces (UNIFIL) are deployed.

The reporter pointed out that the area is called the few, which is a mountainous area.

The Israeli army confirmed the fall in an open area, launched from southern Lebanon.

For its part, Lebanese media reported that a "Grad" missile had been launched from the Ras al-Ain-Qalila area, south of Tyre, towards occupied Palestine.
