“Amna” memorizes the Qur’an in 100 days

"Dubai Holy Quran Award" was nominated safe for the Jordanian competition.

The Emirati girl, Amna Nassib Saeed, 19, was able to memorize the entire Holy Qur’an in less than 100 days, and she participated in local and international competitions, in which she achieved first place, in an achievement described as “the first for an Emirati girl.”

Amna grew up in a large family of more than 25 members, all of whom memorized parts of the Holy Qur’an, which prompted her to compete with them and join an intensive memorization course in two centers for memorizing the Qur’an, and she spent 12 hours a day memorizing the Book of God until she completed it in three months.

Finally, Amna returned from Jordan, after winning first place in the international Hashemite competition for females for memorizing, reciting and interpreting the Noble Qur’an, outperforming participants from 15 countries, and she is the first female citizen to win this title.

Amna says to "Emirates Today": "I was nominated to participate in the Jordanian competition by the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, and many around me expected that my participation would be distinguished, but they all did not expect that I would return to them bearing the shield of first place, in a great achievement for the state."

She added, "This award is not the first for me this year. I won second place in the local competition for the Dubai Holy Quran Award, and I won first place in the Al-Hasawi Holy Quran competition in Sharjah. I also participated in the competition for memorizing the hadiths of the Prophet in memorizing 80 hadiths, and I got Third place, and I am waiting for the result of the Al Owaidah competition for memorizing the Noble Qur’an in Abu Dhabi, in which I participated, and I expect to obtain an advanced position.”

Amna, a student at the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies at the University of Sharjah, says: “I am the youngest of my siblings, and I have always been keen to go to prayer in the mosque with my parents and brothers, which brought me closer to performing worship in an appropriate manner. Then I noticed the keenness of my male and female brothers to memorize the verses of the Qur’an. from the Qur’an every night.

And she continues: “I asked my father to allow me to join the Quran memorization centers, which is what happened when I was seven years old, during which I memorized several chapters of the Quran in centers in Al Awir, Rashidiya and Al Mamzar in Dubai. Its recitation and interpretation, so she joined two intensive courses at Al-Farouq Centers for Quran Memorization and Abdullah bin Masoud Center, noting that “she used to spend 12 hours memorizing every day, from six in the morning until six in the evening.”

And she adds: "My teachers took over the memorization of the Qur'an in this intense way, until I completed its entire memorization in less than 100 days.

And she continues: “I sought to memorize the Holy Qur’an in the hope of God’s pleasure, and the reward and blessing of memorizing verses, and I excelled in memorizing, and surpassed my brothers and their sons who memorize several parts of the Qur’an, and then I became a distinguished representative of the state in Qur’an competitions.”

Amna does not forget the moment when she announced that she won first place in the International Hashemite Competition for Females for Quran Memorization, saying: “It was my happiest moment when I achieved such a great title for my country, especially as I outperformed participants from 15 countries.”
