In the spring of the election year 2022, five programs of Åsiktsbubblan will be released, where five different topics will be debated.
Eight people participate in each program, divided into two groups.
The groups sit in separate rooms, unaware that on the other side of the wall there are people who have completely different opinions and solutions, and that the wall that separates them will disappear.
How does the conversation in the meeting with dissenters change?
They go from being in a group of like-minded people to suddenly sitting in the same room as their biggest dissenters.
We want to show how the conversation goes within an opinion bubble, and how it changes in the meeting with those who think completely differently.
Is it possible to talk to people who stand for something you detest?
Can you listen, and maybe even understand each other?
The opinion bubble is a new format developed by the community editorial office in Gothenburg.
In the program, we let voters themselves discuss what they think in issues that arouse strong feelings and are polarizing for the 2022 election.
After background discussions, the persons participated in a survey and, based on the results, were placed in the respective opinion bubbles.
