“The Supreme Court canceled the election date.

We are waiting for the court decision.

A new date will be set soon,” CEC Secretary Kristina Avlokhova said in a comment to RIA Novosti.

The statement of voters notes that the date of the elections is contrary to the law, as it violates the electoral rights of citizens of the republic living outside of it.

Earlier, the CEC of South Ossetia announced that the second round of the presidential elections in South Ossetia was scheduled for April 28.

The current head of the republic, Anatoly Bibilov, and the leader of the opposition political party Nykhas, Alan Gagloev, will take part in the second round.
