“Rospotrebnadzor has strengthened the federal state sanitary and epidemiological supervision of epidemiologically significant objects in 30 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, where the situation with spring floods is actively developing,” the agency’s website says.
It is noted that Rospotrebnadzor takes part in checking the readiness of water supply and sanitation systems for the period of spring floods.
Earlier, Roman Vilfand, scientific supervisor and director of the Hydrometeorological Center, Honored Meteorologist of Russia, said that in the spring of 2022, floods threaten the regions where the Volga, Yenisei and Lena rivers flow.
