Cars and trash cans were set on fire, paving stones were removed and asphalt was destroyed.

The riots at Rosengård in Malmö during the Easter weekend caused damage that is estimated to cost around SEK 850,000 for the city of Malmö.

- This refers to vehicle relocation, all cleaning on site and restoration of asphalt.

But also damage to trees and lampposts, says Pernilla Linde, section manager at the real estate and street office in Malmö.

Other costs not included in the calculations

The reconstruction of Rosengårdsskolan is not included in the calculations.

According to the compulsory school administration, those calculations are not yet complete.

Per Karlsson, business area manager at the bus company Nobina, has previously told SVT Nyheter Skåne that the city bus that was set on fire costs between seven and eight million kronor.
