Never had a debate between two rounds gathered so few viewers.
The revenge between Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen did not produce the expected sparks, each trying above all to limit possible damage.
And this wet firecracker left a mixed impression in the camp of the third man of this presidential election.

The rebellious deputy Alexis Corbière jokes about it, but the bitterness of not having been able to see Jean Luc Mélenchon compete with Emmanuel Macron or Marine Le Pen is strong in the ranks of the Popular Union.
Little criticism of the liberal policies of the outgoing president or the xenophobic positions of the far-right candidate: all the Melenchonists are convinced that their champion would have hit harder and fairer.
Jean Luc Mélenchon
himself qualifies the debate
as "
waste
", believing that "
the country deserved better
".

“
We had a president in all his social arrogance, who was never challenged ultimately, really and seriously by Marine Le Pen.
I do not understand why she was so soft
, ”reacted the deputy for Seine-Saint-Denis, Alexis Corbière.
“
We just lost three hours.
Let's not waste five years.
Hang on!
(…) Another world is always possible
”, according to Adrien Quatennens.
“
On ecology, it's the sidereal vacuum on one side and the other.
On purchasing power, they suck.
On the hospital and the school, nothing concrete
”, asserts for his part the co-responsible for the program, Clémence Guetté.
"
Third round
"
But another melody rises behind these regrets, that the French were also frustrated and that the third round promised by the candidate of the radical left on the occasion of the legislative elections is not just a figment of the mind. .
Neither of the two finalists has managed to seize the themes defended by Jean Luc Mélenchon during the presidential campaign, believe his supporters.
The subjects of ecology, social justice or the overhaul of institutions could therefore be powerful levers when electing deputies.
And to form, dream the Insoumis, a group likely to impose a cohabitation on the future resident of the Elysée.
It is in any case in this sense that
Jean-Luc Mélenchon launched an appeal to the French
on Wednesday on
BFMTV
.
"
I ask the French to elect me Prime Minister
" by voting for a "
majority of Insoumis
" and "
members of the Popular Union
" in the legislative elections, or "
third round
", in the words of France insoumise.
