Three weeks since the Russian retreat - this is what the cities look like now

"They are leaving behind a complete disaster," Volodymyr Zelensky said in a speech on April 2.

The Ukrainian president referred to the Russian troops who were then moving away from the major cities of Kyiv and Chernihiv, and urged the population to move cautiously in the cities.

Large quantities of mines and other explosive goods had been left behind, he said.

However, it was not long before the residents began the work of clearing away the devastation, whether it was about repairing damaged houses or burying their relatives.
