China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced air quality rankings: Hebei cities drop out of the worst top ten

  China News Service, Beijing, April 20 (Reporter Ruan Yulin) The Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China announced on the 20th that the ranking of key cities in the country showed that in the first quarter, Urumqi, Xianyang, and Nanyang were the top three with the worst air quality in the country, and the most obvious change is that, Cities in Hebei Province dropped out of the top 10 worst cities in the country for air quality.

  The Ministry of Ecology and Environment informed the media about the national ambient air quality. From January to March, among the 168 key cities in the country, Lhasa, Haikou, Zhoushan, Huizhou, Shenzhen, Lijiang, Fuzhou, Zhangjiakou, Guiyang, Xiamen and other cities had relatively low air quality. Good; Urumqi, Xianyang, Nanyang, Xi'an, Weinan, Xinxiang, Hebi, Jiaozuo, Pingdingshan, Huaibei and other cities have relatively poor air quality.

From the perspective of urban air quality changes, Huludao, Zhangjiakou, Tangshan, Beijing, Qinhuangdao, etc. are relatively good.

  From January to March this year, the average number of days with good quality in 339 cities at the prefecture level and above was 83.8%, a year-on-year increase of 2.9 percentage points; the average concentration of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) was 43 micrograms per cubic meter, a year-on-year decrease of 4.4%.

  In terms of sub-regions, in March, the average number of good days in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding "2+26" cities was 64.7%, a year-on-year increase of 13.9 percentage points; the PM2.5 concentration was 51 micrograms per cubic meter, a year-on-year decrease of 17.7%.

From January to March, the average number of good days in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding areas was 63.5%, a year-on-year increase of 7.4 percentage points; the PM2.5 concentration was 63 micrograms per cubic meter, a year-on-year decrease of 3.1%.

  The air quality in Beijing has improved significantly. The proportion of good days in March was 87.1%, a year-on-year increase of 51.6 percentage points; the PM2.5 concentration was 40 micrograms per cubic meter, a year-on-year decrease of 50.0%.

From January to March, the proportion of good days in Beijing was 90.0%, a year-on-year increase of 31.1 percentage points; the PM2.5 concentration was 36 micrograms per cubic meter, a year-on-year decrease of 40%.
