Emmanuel Macron made an unexpected concession the day after the first round of the presidential election, visiting Hauts-de-France, in rather Lepenist cities, he said he was ready to "move" on pension reform , a totem of his program.

He indicated that it could stop in 2027 and therefore be limited to a starting age of 64, it being up to his successor to manage the rest.

A few days later, Emmanuel Macron launched a new appeal to the left with a long plea in favor of ecology, in Marseille, on April 16.

Moving at a run, walkabout, meeting and smiling... here are the images of the campaign for the second round of the center-right candidate.

  • In the aftermath of the first round of the presidential election, Emmanuel Macron is determined to "convince" those who did not vote for him, and said he was ready on Monday to "enrich" and "complete" his project, in Denain, in the north.

  • The president-candidate said he was ready to "move" on the pension reform and "open the door" to a postponement of the retirement age to 64, rather than 65, "if there is too much tension" and that it can build a "consensus".

  • At a run, the outgoing president tried to distance himself from Marine Le Pen, from Mulhouse, arguing that she did not get wet much, mocking "a permanent Potemkin village".

While he "does not (travel) to speak for half an hour in a hotel and return to Paris".

  • "Collectively, we still protect the far right a lot," denounced the candidate president, speaking to journalists on a sidewalk in Mulhouse during a trip to Alsace.

  • "The battle we are waging is not just for France, but for Europe", proclaimed the president-candidate during a speech in Châtenois (Bas-Rhin).

  • Emmanuel Macron affirmed that Marine Le Pen wanted to "leave" the European Union but that she no longer dared to say so, which would lead, if elected president, to "a return to nationalism" and "to war” on the continent.

  • During a meeting in Strasbourg, the candidate again insisted: "The Europe that is ours is not an alliance of nations who want to go to war, it is a project of respect which has put an end to the dream of empire which had always fractured us”, also responding tit for tat to hostile interruptions, in particular on the climate and the ISF.

  • Thursday April 14, Emmanuel Macron went to Le Havre, the city of his former Prime Minister Edouard Philippe, to talk about wind turbines.

  • Dismantling existing wind farms, as Marine Le Pen plans, would be "an aberration", said Emmanuel Macron, decided to "convince" left-wing voters in particular.

  • After having attended the handling operations of a container ship, Emmanuel Macron also estimated that the port of Le Havre, the first in France, would be penalized by the "national preference" claimed by Marine le Pen, and that "would upset the activity of the port" which would become "totally uncompetitive" to accommodate containers.

  • A height shot that delighted the photographers!

  • Speaking of photography, we met Soazig de La Moissonnière, the official photographer of the Elysée Palace who enjoys portraying the President of the Republic.

  • In the middle of the campaign for the second round, Emmanuel Macron resumed his role as president on Friday April 15 to inspect the construction site of Notre-Dame de Paris, three years to the day after the fire of the cathedral on April 15, 2019.

  • In a meeting on Saturday April 16 in Marseille, he promised that, if he were re-elected, his Prime Minister would be "directly responsible for ecological planning", in order to go "twice as fast" to reduce gas emissions to greenhouse effect, still sending big signals to the voters of Mélenchon.
