The measurement is based on samples taken from 11 to 17 April and shows that the content of coronavirus has dropped markedly.

The figures come after sixteen weekly measurements in a row where the content of coronavirus was at levels corresponding to previous pandemic wave peaks or higher.

- It may be because it is starting to get warmer and the virus follows its seasonal variation, as in 2021 when the amount of virus was low from the end of April to December.

The Sahlgrenska Academy writes in a press release that although no guarantees can be given for the coming weeks, the research group behind the measurements is relieved that the levels have fallen.
