He has worked at the health center in central Karlskoga for 13 years and is one of two permanent doctors.

Other positions are filled by the AT doctors, ie those who do their practical part of the training before they can get their doctor's ID, as well as by doctors who come in from time to time.

- Right now we have the help of a district doctor who continues after retirement, two days a week, and a retired orthopedist, a gynecologist and a dermatologist who come at regular intervals.

We also get help from hired doctors and doctors from the hospital, says Henrik Ahlin.

Nurses are part of the rescue

The workload is high.

It takes a puzzle to get it together, and it is often late nights for the staff.

- They save many of our problems.

We also have a stable secretarial staff and we have a well-developed clinic for patients with mental illness, says Henrik Ahlin.

More permanent doctors are needed, he states, but the reality is different:

- Our ST doctors are the ones I hope for.

This is where I put my time and energy.

In the clip, the district doctor Henrik Ahlin tells more about the situation at Karolina care center in Karlskoga and what the interest in becoming a district doctor looks like.
